We are delighted to be able to offer a unique opportunity for hospitality within a shared suite located in the main Grandstand which is available for 60 guests for sit down dining for the Thursday (St Patricks Day) of the 2016 Cheltenham Festival.

Experience the atmosphere of the main Grandstand

No-one can argue that the view from the main Grandstand at Cheltenham Racecourse of National Hunt’s greatest racing spectacle is stunning. You can see the whole of the course set against the backdrop of Cleeve Hill and you have the perfect view of the finish of each of these eagerly awaited races.

It’s all about racing

The focus of the day will be on racing with the suite hosted by racing presenter / commentator Mike Cattermole. Mike has worked for some of the top branded entities within the horse racing industry since 1984 and is widely recognised & respected throughout the sport. From 2010 to 2012 he was the lead male presenter of the station’s flat racing coverage alongside Emma Spencer. He also presented the very popular sister show, “The Morning Line”, broadcast every Saturday on Channel 4 between 8-9am.

Trainer talk

In addition to Mike Cattermole we will also have National Hunt trainer Tim Vaughan getting involved who will be visiting the suite to give you an insight into National Hunt Racing and hopefully a few tips from those connected with racing. Tim has had over 500 winners to date including big winners Beshabar in the Scottish Grand National at Ayr, Saint Are in  the Grade 1 Sefton Novices’ Hurdle at Aintree and Spirit Of Adjisa in the Grade 1 Champion Novice Hurdle at Punchestown. He is currently ranked 5th in the trainer table for the current season.

Nap of the day

A current jockey will also be visiting the suite prior to racing to run
guests through the days’ card to try and find you a few winners!

 

The wow factor

The most important factor of the day – your race viewing. Simply make your way down to the Members area where you will view the racing from your own private reserved seats located directly overlooking the winning post. This elevated position provides the ultimate view of each race and the seats are yours for the day. During the afternoon you can go back to the suite at any time to make use of the complimentary bar and to enjoy the afternoon tea. To access your seats, you have a very short walk down to level 3 to experience your perfect view of the racing.

The hospitality element

Your day / package will include a Club Enclosure badge, morning coffee and biscuits, full complimentary bar of beers, wines, soft drinks and selected spirits throughout the day, delicious four course luncheon and full afternoon tea. You will also receive racecards, car parking passes (1 per 2), a VIP hostess service and individual guest documentation. Tote betting facilities / VIP toilets are located outside of the box in the corridor. Plasma TV’s will also be displaying race highlights throughout the day.

Photo opportunity

The 2010 Cheltenham Gold Cup won by Imperial Commander will be on display within the suite for a duration of the morning where guests will be able to handle and have photographs with this prestigious trophy. Imperial Commander defeated Cheltenham favourites Kauto Star and Denman to win National Hunts biggest prize.

It’s St Patricks Day!

We’ve not forgotten it’s St Patricks Day!! We’ve already included a full complimentary bar as part of the package which includes unlimited beers, wines, soft drinks and selected spirits, however, in addition to this, to celebrate St Patrick’s Day in style unlimited Guinness will also able be available in the suite throughout the day.

Start and end your day in style

Add our magnificent steam train transfer to the package at a discounted rate of £45.00 per person when booked in conjunction with our main Grandstand suite. Our magnificent steam train travels from Toddington Railway Station directly to the back of the main Grandstand at Cheltenham Racecourse making this a stylish and nostalgic way to arrive at the racecourse and to miss all the traffic and congestion.
