Enjoy sunshine, rowing & Pimm’s at Henley Royal Regatta 2013

We have been at Henley for many years and have strived to create an atmosphere that gives you a quality environment whilst at the same time enabling you to relax and fully enjoy the day. Our marquees are beautifully decorated with floral arrangements and fully coordinated and dressed tables, complementing the flowers and creating a stunning visual effect. The marquee also has plasma screens, providing a silent window to watch the tennis at Wimbledon. Our top chefs have been selected to provide a carefully thought out menu including a canapé reception to enjoy with your Champagne on arrival – a highlight of this year’s canapés was our miniature sticky honey mustard sausages! – and an exquisite four course luncheon which this year featured a starter of smoked salmon mousse served in kilner jars with beetroot and horseradish cream which people raved about for days!

The location of our marquees, opposite Temple Island, has two main benefits. Firstly, it is on the racing and Stewards’ Enclosure side of the river. The Island creates a narrow section of water so you are very close to the action to admire the amazing physique of the rowers as they give everything as they pass by our garden areas. Whilst rowing may not be everyone’s favourite sport, it is of a very high standard at Henley, with many of our Olympic athletes competing for their respective clubs. This is just one element that creates the memorable atmosphere in this perfect location. We are one of the very few hospitality areas at Henley to have its own band which plays relaxing background music of all types, but at the end of the day the band are happy to take requests from those who love their music. We are able to offer private marquees for 30 guests and above. This will include plasma TV’s where we normally show Wimbledon and a bar area and the appropriate number of tables. Outside you will have tables and chairs to watch the rowing, relax and enjoy the English summer weather. The marquees vary in size to suit your numbers, up to a maximum of 300. It is also possible to brand the marquee and although not necessary, as we will already include flowers and table decorations, some companies like to have the option to bring presentations or brand the marquee with individual colour schemes and their own floral decorations. Please speak to one of our advisors to discuss this option further. Outside there is a band to enjoy who will play requests and our close-up magician will visit your private marquee to beguile you with magic that will leave you mystified.

We have shared marquees for parties of 2 guests and above with private tables for 8, 10 or 12. The marquees will be fully decorated with floral arrangements and plasma screens which silently show the tennis at Wimbledon. Outside there is a band to enjoy who will play requests and our close-up magician will visit the marquee to beguile you with magic that will leave you mystified. Our shared marquees provide a relaxed atmosphere where all guests have the common goal of enjoying a great day out. By late afternoon, with the band playing outside, there can be quite a party atmosphere.
