Henley Royal Regatta Hospitality

In our shared marquees it is possible to have private tables of 8, 10 or 12, and maybe for smaller numbers on request.  Our shared marquees provide a nice atmosphere where all guests have a common goal of enjoying a great day out.  By late afternoon, with the band playing outside, there can be quite a party atmosphere.  The shared marquees will have TV’s and you will enjoy a nice silver service luncheon and afternoon tea.

Henley Royal Regatta Hospitality 2011Once you arrive at Henley and walk into our marquee complex, you will experience the calmness of this beautiful setting.  From the gardens outside the marquees, you have a view of the river and across to Temple Island.  Your immediate thought is that it is like a summer garden party and you and your guests will immediately feel relaxed and able to start the day in the right frame of mind.

The marquee gardens are very close to the river and throughout the day the rowers, in perfect harmony, race each other at great physical exertion whilst you and your guests relax with a glass of champagne or Pimms.  The standard of rowing is at the highest level and, of course, many of our Olympic athletes will be competing for their relevant clubs.

You are provided with the perfect backdrop, therefore, for your relaxed hospitality day with your clients and guests.  Although a champagne reception is provided, many of our guests like to drink Pimms throughout the afternoon, as this has become a Henley tradition.  We will serve you a delicious three course luncheon and afternoon tea, as well as a full complimentary bar.

As well as the usual refreshments and rowing, there are other things to entertain you throughout the day.  In your marquee there will be a television which normally shows play at Wimbledon.  There is a band in the garden which plays both jazz and popular music on request and one of the highlights of the day is a visit from our close-up magician, who will leave you and your guests amazed.

After lunch, some guests may wish to have a stroll along the riverbank and take in the ambiance of this quintessentially English event.

All in all, Henley provides a perfect opportunity to spend a day with your clients and colleagues without too many noisy interruptions.  Many of our clients tell us that, from a business point of view, Henley is the ultimate vehicle for networking.  They comment that the noise of the Grand Prix or the unsociable seating at rugby, football or tennis, make it difficult to have the same level of interaction that can be achieved at this event.
We are able to provide private marquees at Henley for 30+ guests or for smaller numbers we have shared marquees.

Everything is aimed at making your day totally relaxing.  The Car Park is located directly behind the marquee facility to make it very easy for you to park your car or coach with the minimum effort to reach your home for the day.

We can offer a 1½ hour cruise on the river, but because Henley is such a relaxing event, some people have found this a little disruptive, as guests have to leave the marquee area and walk to a disembarkation point beyond the start before taking their 1½ hour cruise.  Once guests get settled with their Champagne or Pimms, having enjoyed an excellent lunch, they are usually happy to sit out in the garden, watch the rowing and chat with other guests and members of their party.  However, if you do like the idea of the cruise, we can organise this for you.
